Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Miraj iOS app and the Miraj website at miraj.fyi (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Miraj.

1. Who we are

Miraj is operated as an independent project. Throughout these Terms, “Miraj,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Miraj. If you’re between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may only use Miraj with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By creating an account you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Beta status

Miraj is currently in private beta. The Service is provided “as-is.” Features may change, break, or disappear without notice. We may invite specific testers, limit access, or close the beta at any time. We make no guarantees of uptime, data retention, or feature stability during the beta.

4. Your account

• You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
• Don’t share your account credentials, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You may delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you create or upload to Miraj. Your photos, captions, habits, notes, and comments (“Your Content”) belong to you. By using Miraj you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you and the people you’ve chosen to share it with inside your circles.

We don’t use Your Content to train AI models, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t make it public.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use Miraj to:

• Harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate anyone.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or violates someone’s privacy.
• Probe, scrape, or attempt to break the security of the Service.
• Send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications through the Service.
• Use Miraj to facilitate any activity prohibited by law.

We may remove content that violates these rules and suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.

7. Circles and shared content

Miraj is built around small private circles. When you share content with a circle, you understand that the other members can see it. If you leave a circle or delete your account, content you previously shared with that circle may remain visible to its remaining members unless and until you delete it.

8. Third-party services

Miraj uses third-party services (Apple, Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, Aladhan, Google Gemini, and Groq) to operate. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. We’re not responsible for outages, errors, or content originating from those third parties.

9. Termination

You can stop using Miraj or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or for other reasonable operational reasons (for example, ending the beta).

10. Disclaimers

Miraj is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Miraj is a tool for accountability and reflection. It is not a substitute for professional spiritual, medical, mental-health, or legal advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Miraj will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, during the beta, is zero).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes affecting your rights we’ll notify active accounts in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
